Siri Nilsen
Siri Nilsen (23) is a singer songwriter from Sagene in Oslo. The last two years she has played both small and large shows for a steadily growing audience, and with musical genes she’s worked her way slowly but surely towards the light. In 2008 she was awarded the Grappa Debutant prize, and on the 12 October this year she finally released her debut album “Vi some ser i mørket”. Siri plays melancholy music with personal lyrics, clear voice and a delicately picked ukulele. Together with her is Kaja Fjellberg Pettersen and Elisa Herbig on cello, Egil Clausen on strings, Helge Nysted on piano and Ola Geir Raftevold on percussion. These are quiet songs about truth, poetic train rides to the past and future and driving folkpop from Oslo.
