Manhattan Skyline is a part of the international hardcore scene where bands like Converge, The Locust and Botch have been the shining stars. The band has given out the album “Curses” on the wonderful Oslo label Fysisk Format, a company with its origins in the Tiger record store. The music is brutal and complex with elements of classical and electronic music, as well as a good dose sludge core a la Cult of Luna and Isis. “Curses” was recorded and mixed by the band themselves, while James Plotkim (well known from his work with Sunn O))), ISIS, Pelican, Michael Gira and Earth) took care of the mastering.
