Dunderbeist has traveled land and strand around the last two years to promote the first couple of albums in a series of six that are planned for release in the course of as many years. They have created furor and at times pure chaos from Andøya in the north to Grimstad in the south. The Beast has prospered in the shadows without attracting the big headlines: a good reputation and a name synonymous with quality and topnotch entertainment takes time to build up. The band have scaled the slippery slopes from rehearsal room to concert stage to studio whilst enjoying what they cherish and do best: squeezing out fanatical horsekicks and musical chestnuts. Germany scented the beast and at the end of 2009 the journey continued over the fjord to teach the German nation about the Hedmark spirit and thievery á la Dunder. Autumn of the same year saw the recording of their most Norwegian and hardest work to date. The EP “Gamle Eriks kølschvarte blodsalmer from Hjellum” is a journey in deepest, darkest Hedmarkian neighbour-hatred and blood revenge. Heathen and wonderful, direct from the murkiest forests, in the Norwegian language, or Hedmarking if you will. The EP will be released digitally and on limited edition vinyl in the beginning of February 2010.
