Beats 1 Takeover: by:Larm Festival

Three days a week throughout March, Norwegian music will have a special focus at Apple Music’s global radio station Beats 1.
Beats 1 is Apple’s free, global radio station, accessible for everyone with iTunes or an iPhone in 110 countries. To mark music conference and festival by:Larm’s 20th anniversary, Beats 1 will air four shows dedicated to the festival, Norwegian and Nordic music three times a week throughout march. Profiles such as Aurora, Sigrid and Ina Wroldsen will host the shows and share some stories from by:Larm, and play some of their favorite Norwegian and Nordic music.

Takeover is a monthly residency at Beats 1, showcasing the best and brightest of talent around the world from record labels to festivals and more. Previous takeovers include The Guardian, Pitchfork and cred indie label Transgressive Records.
In addition to pop darling Aurora and renown songwriter Ina Wroldsen, rising star Sigrid and metal icon Ivar Bjørnson from Enslaved will host their own shows. Sigrid has had a kick start to her career with debut single “Don’t Kill My Vibe”, which was met to raving reviews. In addition to touring the world with Enslaved, Ivar is also one half of Wardruna, who went #1 on Billboard World Albums last year.
by:Larm celebrates 20 years this week and have established itself as the Nordic gateway to the international music scene. The festival has played a big part breaking artists such as Aurora, First Aid Kit, Emilie Nicolas, MØ and Lykke Li, to name a few.
