With over 50 years experience in the music business, the Swedish chairman of Live Nation International Music is one of the most powerful players in the European music industry. His company now promotes and co-ordinates the enormous infrastructures behind tours by such artists as gigantic events such as Bruce Springsteen, U2, Foo Fighters, Paul McCartney, Abba, Madonna, AC/DC, Metallica and many more.

From his beginnings in a Stockholm band supporting Jimi Hendrix in the late 60s and his promotion of ABBA’s 1970s world tours, to his acquisition of the Cirkus venue and his membership of the Polar Music Prize committee, Thomas Johansson has a huge story to tell. He now runs the Live Nation consortium that also owns Ticketmaster, Artist Nation, Luger and SPG Live. Taking in management, tour promotion and festival foundation, his career is multifaceted and hugely influential.
