Martin Hossbach (*1975, Hamburg, Germany) is co-curator of the Berlin-based

music festival »Pop-Kultur«, founded in 2015. Its fourth edition will take place

from 15-17 August 2018 at Kulturbrauerei. Hossbach also works as an advisor to

Haus der Kulturen der Welt’s music festival »Wassermusik. Goodbye UK – and Thank

You for the Music«. Since 2005 he has been working as a music consultant on more

than 50 German feature films, dealing mainly with Berlin-based art-house film

directors such as Maren Ade (»Toni Erdmann«), Ulrich Köhler (»Schlafkrankheit«)

and Sonja Heiss (»Hedi Schneider steckt fest«). Since 2012 Hossbach has been

running the music label »Martin Hossbach« where he releases, in physical and

digital formats, singles and albums by German artists like F.S.K., Michaela

Meise, Justus Köhncke and Dirk von Lowtzow (of Tocotronic). He has published the

monograph »Die Tocotronic Chroniken (Blumenbar/Aufbau), together with the band

themselves and German pop critic Jens Balzer, and compiles the bi-monthly covermount

CD of the German edition of Rolling Stone.
