The Independent, Music Correspondent

Roisin O’Connor is Music Correspondent at The Independent, writing for a monthly 90-100 million unique browsers on the site, as well as the daily app edition and the i newspaper.
On top of news, live music reviews, features and interviews with emerging and established acts, Roisin launched Music Box – stripped-down sessions filmed in a studio at The Independent’s offices in London – in March 2017 to provide new artists with a better platform to showcase their talent, and also hosting bands such as Bastille and Enter Shikari.
Last summer she coordinated several partnerships so The Independent hosted festival stages in the UK with some of the artists they have supported over the past year; she attended music festivals in the UK and around Europe; spoke at a conference in Norway about the UK Music Industry, and presented a keynote speech on Women, Journalism and the Music Industry at Music & Media Finland.
