Briskeby definerte lydbildet av det nye milleniumet med en unorsk kombinasjon av gigantiske låter, et unikt sound og en attitude og appell ingen hadde vært i nærheten av. Med vokalist Lise Karlsnes’ enorme utstråling og appell i front, tok Briskeby nasjonen med storm. 150.000 solgte plater i et land med 4 millioner innbyggere sier alt.

Debutalbumet Jeans for Onassis, med låter som "Propaganda", "Cellophane Eyes" og "Wide Awake" ble belønnet med fire Spellemannspriser, nominert til MTV Awards og en haug med andre priser. Og de fulgte opp med "Hey Baby", "Miss You Like Crazy", "Joe D ́Allesandro" og en rekke andre unike låter som for mange utgjør selve soundet av 2000-tallet. Vi snakker hyllen over øverste hylle av norsk pophistorie.

Nettopp derfor klarte bandet det bortimot umulige kunststykket og både bli omfavnet av musikkritikere og et enormt publikum. Noe de bare stadfestet sommeren 2023, da de igjen stod på scenen under Pikinik i Parken i Oslo foran et ekstatisk publikum.

Sommeren 2024 er Briskeby klare for et utvalg festivaler. Høsten 2024 slipper Briskeby ny musikk. Fredag 13. september på Sentrum Scene spiller Briskeby på by:Larm. Samme festival der de blåste folk av banen med sin legendariske konsert i 2000. Altså: Briskeby. Tilbake. Nå.

Briskeby is back. One of Norway's biggest bands ever. Period. Briskeby defined the soundscape of the new millennium with a uniquely Norwegian combination of gigantic songs, a unique sound, and an attitude and appeal no one had come close to. With vocalist Lise Karlsnes' enormous charisma and appeal at the forefront, Briskeby took the nation by storm. Selling 150,000 albums in a country with 4 million inhabitants says it all.

Their debut album Jeans for Onassis, with songs like "Propaganda", "Cellophane Eyes", and "Wide Awake", was awarded four Spellemann Awards, nominated for MTV Awards, and received a slew of other prizes. This is precisely why the band managed the nearly impossible feat of being embraced by both music critics and a massive audience. Something they reaffirmed in the summer of 2023, when they once again took the stage at Piknik i Parken in Oslo in front of an ecstatic crowd.

In the summer of 2024, Briskeby is ready for a selection of festivals. In the fall of 2024, Briskeby will release new music. On Friday, September 13th, at Sentrum Scene, Briskeby will perform at by:Larm. The same festival where they blew people away with their legendary concert in 2000. In other words: Briskeby. Back. Now.
