Norwegian 7-piece Fieh are ready to unleash the follow-up to their 2019 debut album Cold Water Burning Skin. The album received a Norwegian Grammy nomination, and was fittingly described as “future soul” by God Is in the TV and “left field R&B” by Clash Magazine.

On their new album In the Sun in the Rain, the band continues in the same vein, although simultaneously broadening their spectrum. Like a version of D'Angelo's The Vanguard, straight outta the rural Norwegian countryside, Fish is centered around the groove. The new music includes the funk bangers that initially introduced the band, but also more experimental and orchestral songs.

The album recorded with famed Norwegian musician and producer Lars Horntveth (Jaga Jazzist, Susanne Sundfør, The Staves, Kimbra) and mixed by legendary “Analog Ninja” Russell Elevado, known for his work with D’Angelo, Angélique Kidjo, The Roots, among others. Elevado has amplified the band’s intentions in the studio, and given increased character to the record’s sound.

The powerful ensemble, known for their ecstatic live shows, consists of a group of friends that have been playing together for a long time, constantly honing their sound and skills. Being hugely talented musicians, they function effortlessly together as a super tight unit, where each member brings his or her taste and influences into the mix.

Fieh er tilbake og gjør seg klare til å slippe oppfølgeren til det Spellemannpris-nominerte albumet Cold Water Burning Skin. Som en norsk bygdeversjon av D’Angelos the Vanguard, ble Fiehs debut beskrevet som «future soul» og «left field R&B» av toneangivende medier som Clash Magazine og God Is in the TV, og bandet bygger videre på dette reisverket, men utvider også sitt soniske spekter.

Fieh slo gjennom med singelen «Glu» i 2017, som raskt skapte stor internasjonal oppmerksomhet rundt gruppa. Ustrakt turnévirksomhet tok dem til scener over hele Europa.

Albumet In the Sun in the Rain er spilt inn med og produsert av Lars Horntveth fra Jaga Jazzist. Miksen er gjort av den legendariske Russell Elevado, også kalt «The Analog Ninja», kjent for sitt arbeid med D’Angelo, Angélique Kidjo og The Roots, for å nevne noen. Elevado har forstått og forsterket bandets intensjoner i studio, og har bidratt til å styrke bandets og innspillingens karakter.

Det mektige og mangehodede ensemblet er kjent for sine ekstatiske konserter og består av en vennegjeng som har spilt sammen lenge, mens de til enhver tid perfeksjonerer bandets sound og egne ferdigheter.
