Den 20-årige altaværingen Simon Olsen alias fijitrip klart kunststykket å slå gjennom internasjonalt midt under en global pandemi. Med sin unike, eksperimentelle vri på elektronisk indiepop henter fijitrip inspirasjon fra alt mellom The 1975 og Yung Lean.
Debut-EPen Tech ble sluppet i 2020 til enorm respons, blant annet omtaler i internasjonal musikkpresse og spillelisting i New Music Friday UK og New Pop Revolution på Spotify. fijitrip ble raskt spådd en lys framtid, og etter hans siste EP Private Social Network fra april 2021 banker musikkbransjen enda hardere på døra.
Til tross for at fijitrip nyligsignerte bookingavtale med giganten United Talent Agency (Skepta, Florence + the Machine), har han i stor grad vært et ubeskrevet blad hjemme i Norge. Med by:Larm 2021 som neste stopp, går den unge artisten en enda lysere framtid i møte.

20 year old Simon Olsen hails from Alta in the Norwegian arctic, and this past year, he has pulled off the incredible feat of having an international breakthrough in the midst of a pandemic. With a unique, experimental take on electronic indie pop, fijitrip draws inspiration from as varied sources as The 1975 and Yung Lean.
The debut EP Tech was released in 2020 to widespread acclaim, securing playlist spots at Spotify’s New Music Friday UK and New Pop Revolution. fijitrip was soon declared a force to be reckoned with, and after his latest EP Private Social Network, the gaze of the music industry is fixed upon him more than ever.
fijitrip recently signed a booking deal with the industry titan United Talent Agency, but is largely unknown in his home country. So far – with by:Larm 2021 as his next stop, things are about to change big time for the young artist.
