Inspired by avant-garde, guerilla art and pop culture, GERILJAPOP only has one rule: all rules are meant to be broken. Since starting out as an internet phenomenon in 2020, GERILJAPOP has moved steadily from the underground to a few feet below the surface. Described as «TOTALLY unpredictable» by Natt&Dag and «fun and playful» by NRK P3, GERILJAPOP blends hyperpop, rap, k-pop, punk and metal. The music is characterized by contrasting genre hybrids with an international sound, in-your-face-vocals mixing Norwegian and English lyrics, and thought-provoking concepts. Is it madness, satire or dead serious? No one knows.

GERILJAPOP startet som et rent internettfenomen i 2020 inspirert av avantgarde, geriljakunst og popkultur, men har i løpet av 2023 beveget seg fra undergrunnen til noen meter under overflaten. De har blitt beskrevet som «TOTALT uforutsigbare» av Natt&Dag og «morsomt og lekent» av NRK P3, og spiller en blanding av hyperpop, rap, k-pop, punk og metal. Musikken preges av sjanger-hybrider, in-your-face-vokal som mikser norsk dialekt med engelsk, i tillegg til provoserende konsepter. Er det galskap, sylskarp satire, eller dønn seriøst? Ingen vet.
