Giddy Gang er en Oslo-basert ansamling musikere som drives av tunge hiphop-beats og silkemyk vokal. Musikken er fundamentert i solide hip hop-beats av den gamle skolen, med sterk påvirkning fra J Dilla og The Roots. Samtidig har medlemmene bakgrunn i alt fra gospel, jazz og soul. Sluttresultatet er overraskende, stilsikkert, gøyalt og lystig. Nordic Style Mag anbefalte Giddy Gang til fans av Childish Gambino, Tyler, the Creator og Snarky Puppy.

Debut-mikstapen ble lagd under nedstengingen som et positivt innslag i krevende tider. Blant samarbeidspartnere på tapen finner vi navn som Vuyo, Tennishu og trombonisten Sigurd Drågen. «Giddy» betyr å føle seg lattermild, lykkelig, ja nesten litt høy, og det er nettopp disse følelsene GiddyGang vil at lytterne skal oppnå når de hører musikken.

GiddyGang is an Oslo-based collection of talented musicians wanting to make the world a giddier place. Their music is built on solid old school hip-hop beats, heavily indebted to the likes of J Dilla or the Roots. However, as the members have musical backgrounds in gospel, Nordic jazz and soul, the band swirls in sounds from all kinds of beautiful places. The result is surprisingly cohesive, confident and – less surprisingly – fun and uplifting. Their debut mixtape was put together during lockdown to be a beacon of positivity and joy in extremely challenging times. Contributions on the mixtape include South African-Norwegian rapper Vuyo, Tennishu from Butcher Brown and Norwegian trombonist Sigurd Drågen. As part of a young generation inheriting a world filled with strife, stress and difficulties, GiddyGang want to inspire kindness and help people cope.
