Oslobaserte Hammok startet opp i 2021 med sin friske vri på hardcore. Under mantraet “alternativt og aggressivt” henter Hammok inspirasjon fra post-punk, indie, post-rock og metal. Det viktigste er ikke hvordan musikken låter, men hvordan den føles: “Når du har hørt en låt av oss, skal du sitte igjen med noe. En viss følelse. Vi lager ikke bakgrunnsstøy,” sier bandmedlem Tobias Osland.

De bråvekket det norske rockepublikummet i 2021 med tre singler, sluppet til god omtale i publikasjoner som Disharmoni, heavymetal.no og Eternal Terror. Årets siste singel, “How to Make Dogs Bark” ble også anbefalt av Urørt – og det samme gjaldt 2022-oppfølgeren “Perfectly Aware”, som også fikk “Best akkurat nå”-status hos P3.

Debut-EPen er ute i år, så pakk med ørepropper på by:Larm 2022!

2021 saw the introduction of new Oslo-based band Hammok, who play hardcore with an “alternative and aggressive” bent, additionally inspired by post-punk, indie, post-rock and metal. For them, the most important is not how the music sounds, but how it feels. "When you’ve heard a song of ours, you’re supposed to be left with something. A certain feeling. We don’t make background noise" says band member Tobias Osland.

They punched the air out of the Norwegian hardcore crowd through three singles, released to acclaim in publications like Disharmoni, heavymetal.no and Eternal Terror. The last track of 2021, “How to Make Dogs Bark” was also recommended by Urørt – and the same applied to the early 2022 follow-up “Perfectly Aware”, which also received the “Best akkurat nå” tag by P3.

The debut EP is out this year, and make sure to bring earplugs to their by:Larm 2022 set!
