Ingri Høyland er Hôy La. Et artistprosjekt der musikken omfatter emosjoner som smerte, sinne og sårbarhet, og tolkes gjennom dissonans, oppløsning, repetisjon og dramatiske vendinger i en cyberpunk atmosfære.

Hôy La fikk en brakstart på karrieren etter «Please» i 2018. Det følgende året kom EPen X Heads og en rekke storslagne opptredener inkludert Roskilde i 2019. 2020 ble et enda større år som inneholdt konserter på eksklusive Berghain og en turné i Japan. Ingri Høyland is Hôy La. A musical project as a translation from the apparently internal experiences of anguish, anger, and vulnerability, into the sonics that reveal how widely shared these feelings are. Through dissonance and resolution, repetition and dramatic departure, electronic intimacy and organic alienation, she investigates these topics through a robotic sensitivity, a cyberpunk atmosphere.

Hôy La kicked her career off with the release of “Please” in 2018, a smouldering and sultry, trip-hop saturated invitation into your dreams, building atop the release of the EP X Heads and a number of performances including Roskilde Festival in 2019. 2020 started big for Hôy La with shows in Berghain and a tour of Japan. Hôy La’s debut-album There’s a Girls Inside My Brain Who Wants to Die is set to release October 8, 2021 via NESM. An album that has pushed Høyland’s music past the boundaries of the genres she previously excelled in emulating.
