Presented by TONO
The Nordics were "first movers" in the international music streaming economy. But how can the music industry create even more growth in streaming revenue when 96 percent of Norwegians, and the rest of the Nordics, already stream music? Two new surveys provide two perspectives on where the growth potential lies going forward.
“The Polaris Digital Music survey 2024” was conducted by YouGov on behalf of TONO, Koda, and Teosto (the Danish and Finnish equivalents of TONO). The other presentation, “Nordic Streaming: A Demographic Perspective”, will address future growth opportunities for the region and was conducted by Zach Fuller, Research Manager and Data Analyst at Polaris Hub, a company owned by the aforementioned organisations which licenses their repertoire to streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, and Meta.
The surveys will be presented by Willy Martinsen, Director of Communications at TONO, and Zach Fuller from Polaris Hub. Kristin Haugan, Media Director at TONO, and Erik Brataas, CEO of Polaris Hub, will give an introduction and participate in the Q&A session at the end.
