Johanna Scheie Orellana har tross ung alder allerede en betydelig karriere bak seg ettersom hun var med i Sassy 009 som gjorde furore på klubbscenene verden over for et par år siden. Hun spiller også på platene og live med Carmen Villain. I tillegg til dette har hun er duo med Anja Lauvdal.

Nå går hun endelig solo med et debutalbum som vil bli utgitt i 2022, og er produsert og mikset av Carmen Hillestad (aka Carmen Villain). Musikken ligger et sted mellom fourth-world, jazz, world music, minimalisme og avantgardisme. Albumet blir en musikalsk kosmisk vandring der Orellana føyer seg inn i en fløytetradisjon et sted mellom Joanna Brouk, Maggi Payne og Don Cherry, og i hjemlig sammenheng et sted mellom Arve Henriksen og Bendik Giske.

Despite her young age, Johanna Scheie Orellana already has a significant career behind her as she was in Sassy 009 which caused a stir on the club stages around the world a couple of years ago. She also plays on the records and live with Carmen Villain. In addition to this, she is a duo with Anja Lauvdal.

Now she finally goes solo with a debut album that will be released in 2022, and is produced and mixed by Carmen Hillestad (aka Carmen Villain). The music is somewhere between fourth-world, jazz, world music, minimalism and avant-garde. The album will be a musical cosmic journey where Orellana joins a flute tradition somewhere between Joanna Brouk, Maggi Payne and Don Cherry, and in a domestic context somewhere between Arve Henriksen and Bendik Giske.
