Our partners at the London-based cultural collective Ladies Music Pub (LMP) host a conversation about creating spaces in 2024 – asking questions about physical space for artists and the people who support them – as well as making space for artists to explore their ideas for records, visuals and beyond.
Sian Rowe is a creative director who works with artists to define and realise their ideas, while fostering connections across disciplines. For the past two years she has been director of Young Space in East London, working alongside founder Caius Pawson and the Young Recordings team to establish a recording studio, space and kitchen where different artists (and the people who support them) gather and work. It is the creative home for Young’s management company (Young Artists), publishing company (Young Songs) and record label (Young Recordings), the fashion label Wales Bonner, radio station foundation.fm (http://foundation.fm/) and individual practitioners.
Sian's personal work includes creative direction for the artist PinkPantheress across her albums, music videos and live performances. Sian previously spent 10 years as a project manager at XL Recordings and Young, working with artists including FKA twigs, The xx, Jamie xx, King Krule, Kamasi Washington, Jai Paul, Nines, Mustafa and Frank Ocean.
