Med låter som “Oktober, Bergen by”, “Barndomsmelodi” og “Bittelitt” har Oddny markert seg som eit vestnorsk unikum i norsk musikkliv. I tillegg til radiosuksessen, ei rekkje utselde konsertar og ei stadig veksande fanskare mottok Oddny Luttprisen 2024 i kategorien Årets Nykommar. I 2025 blei dei nominerte til hovudprisen.
Oddny har utvikla ein heilt karakteristisk musikalsk sound som dei kombinerer med særeigne tekstar på dialekt. Dei har blitt kjent som eit framifrå liveband og i 2025 besøker Oddny eit drøss små og store scener og festivalar landet rundt!
Bandet har musikalsk hovudkvartet i Gamlahuset i Bremanger, der dei i periodar bur og arbeider saman. Mykje av musikken blir både skrevet og spelt inn i dette huset, med trommis og produsent Oliver Igland bak spakane. Oddny gir ut på eige label, HotWater i samarbeid med MATE/The Orchard.

With songs like “Oktober, Bergen by,” “Barndomsmelodi,” and “Bittelitt,” Oddny has established themselves as a one-of-a-kind voice from Western Norway in the country’s music scene. In addition to radio success, a series of sold-out concerts, and a rapidly growing fanbase, Oddny received the 2024 Lutt Prize for Best Newcomer and was nominated for the main award in 2025.
Oddny has developed a highly distinctive musical sound, combining it with unique lyrics in their native dialect. Known for their outstanding live shows, Oddny will in 2025 perform at a wide range of venues and festivals across Norway. The band’s creative base is Gamlahuset in Bremanger, where they live and work together for periods of time. Much of the music is written and recorded there, with drummer and producer Oliver Igland at the helm. Oddny releases music on their own label, HotWater, in collaboration with MATE/The Orchard.
