The streaming sector is growing worldwide and also increasingly competitive. The competition means that the different providers have to work harder to maintain their market share and subscriber base, a situation that usually works to the benefit of streaming service clients.
But is the streaming economy viable for the music industry as a whole, or are platforms and labels the only ones to earn any money in the new, digital reality? How do we ensure that the streaming model works to the benefit of all parties involved? And what does the future of streaming look like?
