Den 26 år gamle norsk-britiske vokalisten og komponisten Thea Grant lanserte nylig sitt soloprosjekt med utgivelsen av albumet Water and Dreams - et fengslende korverk med en myriade av stemmer som forvrenges til heftig støy, nattlige ambientlandskap og tåkete popballader. Malibu, Ligeti, Björk og Tim Hecker har vært viktige inspirasjonskilder til musikken, sammenflettet med en rekke hang-ups på fyrlykter, kirkeklokker, huler og det som befinner seg i mellomrommene.

The 26-year-old Norwegian-British vocalist and composer Thea Grant recently launched her solo project with the release of the album Water and Dreams – a captivating choral work featuring a multitude of voices distorted into intense noise, nocturnal ambient landscapes, and hazy pop ballads. Malibu, Ligeti, Björk, and Tim Hecker have been key influences on the music, intertwined with a range of obsessions with lighthouses, church bells, caves, and what lies in the spaces between.
Tobias Gulbrandsen and Bjørn Ola Opsahl contribute to creating a complete concert experience with live visuals and surround sound. The sea becomes a symbol of life’s fractured reflections, where the voice serves as the messenger, both alone and in harmony.
