26 år gamle Whammyboy fra Moss har kommet langt siden han spilte første gang på by:Larm i 2021, hvor han ble plukket ut som en av juryens utvalgte. Debut-EPen SPACE POP VOL. 1 fra 2023  ble godt mottatt hvor singlene “Heart” og “Chop It” ble spilt på BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists, der “Heart” ble utvalgt som “Artist of the Week” med intervju og listing.

Livebandet følger en klassisk oppsett, men skaper en lyd og atmosfære som minner om en elektronisk klubbopplevelse. Whammyboy har holdt konserter i Tyskland, Frankrike og England, samt imponert på festivaler som Piknik i parken og Pstereo i 2023. Høsten samme år headlinet de på Parkteatret med en energisk forestilling. Eventyret fortsetter med utgivelsen av SPACE POP VOL. 2 høsten 2024, rundt tida da Whammyboy returnerer til by:Larm!

26 year old producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Whammyboy has come a long way since he played by:Larm for the first time back in 2021 as one of our Jury’s Selection. His debut EP SPACE POP VOL. 1 from 2023 was well received, with singles listed by BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists and featured there as Artist of the Week.

His live band follows a classic set up, but the sound and atmosphere is more reminiscent of an electronic club set. Whammyboy has played abroad in Germany, France and the UK and has impressed audiences at Norwegian open air festivals like Piknik i parken and Pstereo. Autumn 2024 sees the release of his follow-up EP SPACE POP VOL 2., around the time when Whammyboy makes his comeback to by:Larm!
