Winter wonder sounds

Entering wintertime is one of those classic calendar moments, when you start to realise that by:Larm 2020 is approaching for real. The days are short and dark, yet the by:Larm office is boiling with lush energy and excitement for February’s festival.

Here’s the latest acts for our 23rd edition!

AARON SMITH (UK): One of the United Kingdom’s coming greats, this Scot creates passionate pop in the environs of Bon Iver, Coldplay and Keane.
DUTTY DIOR (NO): Known as the right-hand man of Norway’s urban pathfinder Isah, Dutty Dior is a true Oslo jewel in his own right.
GIANT SWAN (UK): The hype is real! Insisting hammer blows of punk, techno and noise form the perfect soundtrack to the chaos of contemporary Britain.
HOLLOW HEARTS (NO): From the cold north, one of the most active and most promising bands in the Norwegian americana scene.
JOCKSTRAP (UK): With one foot in pop and one in the experimental haze, the London-duo Jockstrap mesh bossa nova with slices of electronic noise. Truly singular stuff.
LYDMOR (DK): One of the most colourful birds flying on the indie pop sky right now is Danish Lydmor. Conceptual pop at its finest.
MARIA TRÆBAKKEN (NO): Maria takes to the stage with a brand of Norwegian language pop rich in honesty, emotional width, and of course: that classic Bergen attitude.
OLI XL (SE): This Stockholm-based guy is the supplier of some of the most vivid club bangers of late. Chopped and abstract on a hard and steady backdrop.

Since Wednesday and through today, we’ve upped the price of our festival pass from NOK 990 to NOK 1490. We’re donating the extra NOK 500 to our friends at =Oslo. Thanks for supporting their community work!
