Volunteer at by:Larm 2020
We rely on enthusiastic volunteers to make by:Larm 2020 a successful event. When you’re volunteering, we can guarantee you’ll get valuable insights in the festival industry, you’ll expand your network and meet likeminded people and discover your next favourite band.
– you work two shifts and get free access to the by:Larm Conference (70 sessions) and live programme (200 concerts)
– all our volunteers will get a volunteer shirt and a by:Larm tote bag
– free food during your shifts
– gain valuable work experience and receive a recommendation letter after the festival
– we guarantee you’ll get new friends and you’ll definitely have a good time
In the festival tent you’ll find the main pulse of by:Larm, and we need cool and reliable people to work in the bar. This means pouring beer to our festival goers, keep the area clean and tidy and generally be available for our guests.
The wristband exchange is our guests’ first physical meeting with our festival. This is quite a social atmosphere with a lot of interaction with our audience. Good vibes only!
The delegate check-in opens the day before the festival starts, and is open throughout the conference. Both volunteers and delegates needs to be checked in in our database and their wristbands and delegate tote bags will also be handed out here.
As a seminar host you’ll help out to make the conference go smoothly. This involves being present during the sessions, help out where it’s needed, help out with microphones, hand out name tags, keeping the speakers hydrated etc. And of course: make sure that everyone that attends the sessions have a valid wristband.
If you’re unsure what you want to do, or have a special agreement with by:Larm, choose Misc! We love people who want to work extra, and we’ll give you a different set of tasks where it’s needed the most.
We want to document our festival and update our social medias with photos from our festival. We need images of concerts, artists, the audience and our conference sessions. If you’re competent with a camera, this is absolutely the position for you. Please attach an online link with your portfolio in your application, preferably with concert photos.
If you join the rigging team, you’ll help to rig by:Larm up and down. Heavy lifting may apply. It’s important that you have a good attitude, as we may work after working hours. This is a physical task, and you have to be willing to work outside. Please specify if you can work a couple of days before or after the festival.
We have a lot of things to drive back and forth during by:Larm. As a transport volunteer you’ll help out to make all the by:Larm logistics go smoothly. You must have a Class B driver’s license and it is an advantage if you know Oslo well.
