18 år gammel sluttet Sebastian Zalo på skolen for å lage musikk. I musikken viser Zalo en sjelden evne til å balansere det såre og det selvsikre. I 2020 ble han nominert til P3 Gull som «årets nykommer», og samme år vant Spellemannprisen for årets gjennombrudd.
Han fulgte opp med å gi norske seere bakoversveis våren 2021, da han i programmet De neste tolket kjente låter av Lene Marlin og Sondre Lerche til stor applaus. 24 år gammel har Sebastian Zalo bevist at han er en av sin generasjons fremste formidlere og underholdere. Sebastian Zalo quit school at 18 years old to make music. In his music, he displays a rare affinity for combining themes of confidence with uncertainty. In 2020 he was nominated for a P3 Gull award as newcomer of the year, and won the Norwegian Grammy for breakthrough of the year.
He continued his victory lap into the spring of 2021, when he participated in the national Norwegian TV show De neste with acclaimed cover versions of Lene Marlin and Sondre Lerche. At 24 years old, Sebastian Zalo has proven himself as one of the foremost entertainers in the Norwegian music scene of today. The rest is history in the making.
